Spicy Sausage and Spaghetti

Spicy Sausage and Spaghetti
Serves: 6-8
  • 1-1/2 lbs. Western Family Hot Italian Sausage, cut into 1in slices
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can Western Family Sliced Mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (26 oz.) jar Western Family Pasta Sauce
  • ½ c. grated fresh parmesan cheese
  • 16 oz. Western Family Thin Spaghetti (1/3 pkg.)
  1. In a large deep saucepan, brown sausage. Remove sausage from pan and set aside.
  2. Add onions, green pepper and garlic to pan and sauté until tender crisp. Drain off fat and add sausage back to pan.
  3. Add mushrooms, sauce and cheese to sausage mixture and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain.
  5. Arrange in large shallow bowl and top with sauce.
