Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 can (28 oz.) Western Family Tomatoes
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans Western Family Tomato Paste
  • ⅔ c. water
  • ½ tsp. Western Family Instant Minced Garlic
  • 2 tsp. Western Family Dried Oregano
  • ¼ tsp. Western Family Pepper
  • 2 c. (15 oz.) Western Family Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 c. (3 oz.) Western Family Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1 Western Family Egg
  • 9 Western Family Lasagna Noodles, cooked, drained
  • 6 c. Western Family Shredded Pizza Blend Cheese (Mozzarella & Cheddar)
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Brown meat, drain. Add onion, cook until tender.
  3. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, water and seasonings for sauce. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Combine ricotta, parmesan and egg; mix well.
  5. In a 13x9-inch baking dish, layer three lasagna noodles, one third sauce, one half ricotta mixture and one third of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Repeat layers 2 more times with no ricotta mixture in the final layer.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
