Classic Baked Penne

  • ½ lb. Western Family Dried Penne Pasta
  • ¾ c. chopped onion
  • 2 large garlic cloves minced
  • ½ lb. ground beef
  • 1 (26.5 oz) can Western Family Spaghetti Sauce with Mushrooms
  • 4 oz. Western Family Provolone Cheese, sliced
  • ¾ c. Western Family Sour Cream
  • 4 oz. Western Family 6 Cheese Shredded Italian
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F .
  2. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water according to package instructions. Drain.
  3. Brown onion, ground beef and garlic in a large skillet until meat is cooked through and onions are tender. Drain off excess fat.
  4. Add meat mixture and sauce to pasta and toss to combine.
  5. Place half of pasta mixture into a 9” x 13” baking dish. Cover pasta with provolone cheese and then sour cream.
  6. Cover sour cream with remaining pasta mixture and top with shredded cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and begins to brown.
