Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Serves: makes 3 dozen
  • ⅔ c. Western Family Sugar
  • ⅓ c. Western Family Dark Brown Sugar, packed
  • ½ c. Western Family Butter (1 stick), softened
  • ⅓ c. Western Family Peanut butter
  • 1 Western Family Egg
  • ½ t. Western Family Vanilla Extract
  • 1-1/4 c. Western Family All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ t. Western Family Baking Soda
  • 1-1/2 c. Western Family Good Choice Cereal
  • 1 c. Western Family Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate Chips
  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Beat sugars, butter and peanut butter until creamy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
  5. Combine flour and baking soda. Add to butter mixture; mix well.
  6. Add cereal and chocolate chips; mix well.
  7. Drop by level tablespoons 1-1?2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
  9. Let stand 1 minute before removing to racks to cool.
