Serves: makes 3½ dozen
  • 2-1/4 c. Western Family Flour, unsifted
  • 1 t. Western Family Baking Soda
  • ½ t. Western Family Salt
  • 1 c. Western Family Butter
  • ¾ c. Western Family Granulated Sugar
  • ¾ c. Western Family Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1-1/2 t. Western Family Vanilla
  • 2 Western Family Eggs
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. Western Family Chocolate Chips
  • ¾ c. Western Family Chopped Walnuts
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars together until fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs. Beat well.
  5. Sift dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well.
  6. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Mix well.
  7. Take a heaping tablespoon of dough and roll into a ball.
  8. Place each ball 2" apart on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 8-10 minutes at 375°F.
  10. Remove cookies from oven, place on cooling rack.
